Minneapolis, MN – The Minnesota Twins placed pitcher Matt Capps on the 15-day disabled list Monday with right shoulder inflammation.
Capps is 1-4 this season with a 3.42 earned run average in 26 1/3 innings. The Twins' closer has been successful in 14 of 15 save opportunities.
The Twins recalled pitcher Tyler Robertson from Triple-A Rochester to take Capps' place on the roster.
The 24-year-old left-hander was 2-2 with a 3.77 ERA in 33 appearances for Rochester this season.
