Florence, Italy – Velez Sarsfield striker Santiago Silva will be heading to Italy after he sealed a move to Fiorentina on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old helped Velez win the Clausura title with seven goals in 13 games and he moves clubs for the 13th time in his career.
According to reports, Velez will receive a transfer fee of around $2.8 million for Silva, who becomes the third player this summer to leave Velez for Italy, joining Ricardo Alvarez (Inter Milan) and Maximiliano Moralez (Atalanta).
