Saint Peter's gets 13 steals, beats Rider 80-60

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Ryan Bacon had 22 points, 12 rebounds and three steals to lead Saint Peter's over Rider 80-60 on Saturday.

Darius Conley, Steven Samuels, Wesley Jenkins and Brandon Hall tallied two steals each as the Peacock's (13-9, 8-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Association) had 13 takeaways.

Leading 50-48 Saint Peter's scored seven straight, culminating in Jenkins' 3-pointer after a steal with 8:56 to play.

The Broncs (15-8, 7-4) had 20 turnovers, leading to 23 points by Saint Peter's.

Jeron Belin also had a double-double for the Peacocks with 15 points and 11 rebounds, as they outrebounded Rider 41-33. Steven Samuels added 13 points and Jenkins finished with 11 for Saint Peter's, which won its fourth straight.

Justin Robinson led the Broncs with 16 points. Brandon Penn and Danny Stewart added 11 points each for Rider, which had a three-game winning streak snapped.
