A lake house in Whitehouse, Texas -- owned by the father of Johnny Manziel, Cleveland Browns quarterback -- reportedly burned to the ground in an overnight fire.

Smith County Fire Marshal Jay Brooks said the fire is suspicious in nature and is being investigated thoroughly, according to WKYC's report. He says arson investigators and arson canines will be brought in to survey the scene.

The blaze was reportedly called in around 1:30 a.m and by the time firefighters from three surrounding areas arrived, it was said to be "fully involved" already.

Nobody was apparently home at the time, but the girlfriend of Paul Manziel says there was still more than monetary damage.

"Everything Paul loved and cherished was in that home. He loved his house. Thank you to friends and family for all of your prayers. We are just blessed no one was in the house and everyone is safe," Beverly Green said.
