Boston, MA – Sunday's game between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox was postponed because of inclement weather.
A makeup date has not yet been announced.
The Yankees had won the first two of what had been scheduled as a three-game series. New York posted a 6-2 win on Friday to spoil Fenway Park's 100th anniversary, then spotted the Red Sox nine runs before storming back for a 15-9 win on Saturday
CC Sabathia was slated to pitch for New York and Daniel Bard was expected to take the mound for Boston.
The Yankees will head to Texas for the start of a three-game series on Monday, while the Red Sox head to Minnesota on Monday to open a three-game set.
