Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Nashville Predators have placed forwards James Neal and Eric Nystrom on injured reserve.
Neal has a lower body injury and Nystrom's issue was not disclosed.
The 27-year-old Neal has already missed three games and last played on Dec. 30 against St. Louis. He is Nashville's second-leading goal scorer with 13 and has added 10 assists for 23 points in 35 games.
Nystrom had appeared in all 39 games for the Predators this season and has recorded five goals with four assists.
The Predators recalled forward Miikka Salomaki from their American Hockey League affiliate in Milwaukee. He was a second-round pick in the 2011 draft.
