East Rutherford, NJ – Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart left Sunday's 17-12 win against the New York Jets with a right ankle injury.
In the second quarter, he appeared to roll his right ankle after getting tackled by LaRon Landry late in the second quarter.
He walked off the field on his own power, but was then taken into the locker room on a cart and did not come back out for the second half.
It's the second straight week he left a game as he departed last week's win over Miami with a left calf injury.
Stewart, entering his fifth season, signed a five-year deal with Carolina about two weeks ago.
