NEW YORK – Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones was happy to follow in Robert Griffin III's footsteps by posing for a statue of his likeness made out of food. Jones hopes to also replicate Griffin's award-winning rookie regular season.
Jones posed with and hugged the bust of his likeness Tuesday at a Subway restaurant in Manhattan, "amazed" at its authenticity — right down to the dreadlocks made of more than 1,000 raisins.
He also accepted the challenge of what he called "Subway Magic," by becoming an NFL rookie of the year.
The likely top-15 pick in Thursday night's draft says "that's definitely one of my goals" after seeing Griffin take such honors. He adds that winning Defensive Rookie of the Year "would be a great accomplishment to start off my career."
