ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Wild have signed three defensemen to entry-level contracts.
The Wild signed Josh Caron, Colton Jobke and Jared Spurgeon on Wednesday. All three will help beef up the blue line in their minor league affiliates.
The 20-year-old Spurgeon had the most productive season of the three last year. He had eight goals and 51 assists in 54 games for Spokane in the Western Hockey League.
The 19-year-old Caron spent last season playing for Kamloops in the WHL. He had one goal and five assists in 60 games. The 18-year-old Jobke played last year with the Kelowna Rockets, posting eight assists in 69 games.
