Chip Ganassi Racing has unveiled Kyle Larson's throwback ride for the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Darlington Raceway on Sept. 3.
Larson's throwback ride will serve as a tribute to legendary country music singer and former NASCAR driver Marty Robbins, as his No. 42 Chevrolet will have a retro purple and gold makeover with sponsor Eneos.
Robbins frequently drove the No. 42 throughout his career. Most famous for his songs "El Paso" and "Big Iron", he competed in 13 races over the course of 35 years, collecting a total of six top-ten finishes.
