COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Columbus Blue Jackets assigned goalie David LeNeveu (LEH'-neh-voo) and right winger Tomas Kubalik (koo-BAHL'-ihk) to Springfield of the American Hockey League on Thursday.
The club also confirmed that defenseman Kris Russell broke an ankle bone Tuesday night in Dallas and will miss the final two games of the season.
The 20-year-old Kubalik had two assists in three games with the Blue Jackets after being added to the roster on emergency recall March 31. He was the third player in franchise history to record a multipoint game in his NHL debut, with two assists at Washington.
LeNeveu, 27, appeared in one game for Columbus after being added to the roster on emergency recall April 1, stopping 10 of 12 shots in relief.
