In advance of opening the 2010-11 regular season with a pair of games in Stockholm, Sweden, the Columbus Blue Jackets will participate in the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Challenge with a game in Malmo, Sweden.

On Oct. 5, the Blue Jackets will play an exhibition game at the new, state-of-the-art Malmo Arena against a unified team featuring players from a pair of Swedish hockey teams -- the Malmo Redhawks, who in 2009-10 played in HockeyAllsvenksan, and Rogle BK from Angelholm, who played the 2009-10 season in the Swedish Elitserien (elite league). The players will be outfitted in custom-designed red and yellow uniforms, the official colors of the province of Skane.

The Blue Jackets will face the San Jose Sharks in two games at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on Oct. 8 and 9, as part of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere.

Tickets for the exhibition game will go on sale Thursday, April 29.

More information on 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere will be released at a later date, including ticket information, broadcast information, training camp schedules and preseason schedules.
