Ian Hummer scored 11 of his 19 points in the second half as Princeton pulled away from a halftime tie to beat Dartmouth 68-53 on Saturday night.

The victory was the sixth straight for the Tigers (16-4, 4-0 Ivy League), which handed Harvard its first conference loss on Friday night. Princeton's 9-0 start at home is its best in 13 years.

The Big Green (5-15, 1-5), who lost for the eighth time in nine games, shot 60.9 percent (14 of 23) to go into halftime tied 34-34, but they cooled off to 25 percent (7 of 28) in the second half.

Leading by four, 45-41, Princeton used a 21-3 run to widen its lead to 66-44 with 4:24 left in the game. Douglas Davis finished with 16 points and Dan Mavraides 14 for the Tigers, and Kareem Maddox grabbed 15 rebounds.

Tyler Melville led Dartmouth with 11 points. Kirk Crecco and David Rufful had 10 each, with all of Rufful's coming in the first half.
