Hoke hoping Michigan establishes tough identity in his 4th season of leading storied program

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan coach Brady Hoke is anxious to produce results on the field in his fourth season leading the storied program.

The Wolverines slumped to a 7-6 finish last year, prompting Hoke to hire a new offensive coordinator and shuffle his staff on defense.

Hoke hinted at depth issues being a problem in the past during his news conference Sunday at media day. Then he was quick to say there are no excuses and everyone that is a part of the team has to do a better job.

Michigan maintains its goal is to win a Big Ten championship, a trophy the school has not earned in a decade.

The Wolverines open the season Aug. 30 at home against Appalachian State.
