HANOVER, N.H. – Keith Wright scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Harvard to a 68-53 win over Dartmouth in the Ivy League opener on Saturday.
The Crimson (11-3) led 32-21 at halftime after holding Dartmouth to 30.4-percent shooting (7 for 23) in the opening half. Harvard stretched its lead to 47-30 with 13:50 left and led by at least nine the rest of the way.
Kyle Casey added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Crimson, who shot 59.1 percent from the floor (13 of 22) in the second half. Oliver McNally scored 12 and Christian Webster 11.
Dartmouth (4-10) was led by David Rufful with 16 points and Jabari Trotter with 10. Rufful scored 12 of his points in the first half.
Harvard, which has won five straight, outrebounded the Big Green 32-22.
This was the 171st meeting between the Crimson and Big Green with Dartmouth leading the all-time series 94-77.
