Shaquille Harrison scored 17 points and Tulsa used a big second half to take down Florida International 77-65 on Saturday.

Trailing 35-28 at half, Tulsa (15-12, 10-3 Conference USA) outscored FIU 49-30 in the second half.

The Golden Hurricane shot 54 percent in the second half, led by Harrison with 12 second-half points. Tulsa opened the half on a 15-3 run to take a 43-38 lead.

FIU (13-15, 5-8) cut the lead to 51-49 with 9:07 to play, but Tulsa responded with a 6-0 run and the Golden Panthers could come no closer than four points the rest of the way.

Harrison had seven rebounds, five steals and five assists to compliment his scoring performance. Tim Peete added 12 points while James Woodard and Brandon Swannegan each had 11.

Tymell Murphy led the Golden Panthers with 19 points. Dennis Mavin added 18 points and Rakeem Buckles had 10.
