The Buffalo Sabres agreed to terms with Andre Gragnani on a one-year deal Thursday.

Gragnani appeared in a career-high nine regular season games during two call- ups for Buffalo last season, recording a goal and two assists for his first career points.

He also appeared in all seven of the Sabres' playoff games with Philadelphia and led the team with seven points on one goal and six helpers.

The 24-year-old earned the Eddie Shore Award, given to the American Hockey League's Most Outstanding Defenseman, with the Portland Pirates last season by setting franchise records in assists (48) and points (60).
