A famous sports bettor is putting $1 million on the line picking Miesha Tate to defeat Amanda Nunes at UFC 200.

Dave Oancea -- better known as "Vegas Dave" -- has placed some of the biggest and most successful wagers in the history of sports betting and he's once again placing his faith in Tate ahead of her fight at UFC 200.

Oancea confirmed to FOX Sports that he's placing the $1 million bet on Tate to beat Nunes at UFC 200 along with a photo showing his cash on Instagram.

Oancea has made a career out of betting, especially when it comes to "futures" wagers like the $2.5 million he won after picking the Kansas City Royals to win the World Series at the start of the season or the $2.3 million he picked up after picking the Denver Broncos to win the Super Bowl ahead of the NFL season.

In MMA, "Vegas Dave" came to prominence after he plopped down $20,000 in a wager picking Holly Holm to defeat Ronda Rousey at UFC 193.

Holm knocked Rousey out with a vicious second round head kick and the victory netted Oancea a whopping $240,000.

He then turned around and bet $77,000 on Tate to defeat Holm at UFC 196 and he cashed out with $300,000 thanks to her fifth round rear naked choke victory back in March.

Now he's hoping to cash in on Tate again after putting down $1 million with a $400,000 payout based on her current odds at -250 at the sports book.
