INDIANAPOLIS – Former NFL coach Tony Dungy keeps finding new ways to promote his family-friendly message.
The latest: Writing children's books with his wife, Lauren.
The husband and wife handed out their new book "You Can Be A Friend" to students from Indianapolis on Thursday, then read to those students at a local theater.
It's part of a new, eight-book series that the Dungys hope will put a greater emphasis on reading — and influences parents about how to teach their children life's most important lessons. Lauren Dungy is a former public school teacher.
The two made earlier stops in Camden, N.J., and Pittsburgh and were scheduled to be in Tampa, Fla., later Thursday. The tour also will stop in Minneapolis.
