Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Memphis Grizzlies announced that starting point guard Mike Conley underwent successful surgery Monday to repair a facial fracture, though how much time he'll miss during the team's playoff run has yet to be determined.
The Grizzlies have yet to provide a timetable for Conley's return, though the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported that the fracture may take several weeks to heal.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Conley will be reevaluated in two days after the swelling above his left eye begins to subside. The Grizzlies have already ruled him out for Monday's Game 4 of the team's Western Conference quarterfinal series with the Trail Blazers in Portland.
Memphis can wrap up the series with a win on Monday, having taken a 3-0 lead following Saturday's 115-109 victory at the Rose Garden.
Conley sustained his injury in the third quarter of Game 3 when hit near his left eye by an inadvertent elbow by Portland's C.J. McCollum. The eight-year veteran immediately dropped to his knees and was eventually taken to the locker room under assistance, then later transported to a local Portland hospital.
In Memphis' three wins of the series, Conley has averaged 16.0 points and 3.7 assists while shooting 50 percent from the field.
