Bergamo, Italy – Atalanta confirmed Friday that head coach Stefano Colantuono has signed a two-year contract extension with the Serie A club.
Colantuono is in his second spell in charge at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia and had two years remaining on his previous deal.
"Atalanta have reached a mutual agreement to prolong our working relationship with coach Stefano Colantuono until June 2016," read a statement on Atalanta's website.
The 50-year-old has helped guide the club to 12th place in Italy's top flight with 22 points from 19 matches this season.
