The beginning of Sean Weatherspoon's tenure in Arizona hasn't quite gone as planned.
Weatherspoon signed a one-year deal in the offseason, but has essentially missed all of training camp and the preseason due to a hamstring injury he suffered the first day of camp.
The veteran linebacker could miss Week 1, if he is not able to recover and get back on the field, according to head coach Bruce Arians, via ESPN.
The Cardinals made their first round of cuts on Monday and parted ways with linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, making Weatherspoon's return all that more important.
