Arlington, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Capitals signed defenseman Dmitry Orlov to a two-year, $4 million contract extension on Thursday.
Orlov will earn $1.75 million during the 2014-15 season and $2.25 million in 2015-16.
The 22-year-old Russian native has registered three goals and six assists in 38 games with Washington this season.
In 103 career games with Washington, Orlov has scored six goals and added 23 assists.
