The Skinny: Rabb's return is a big deal for the Golden Bears, who have been fueled by their frustrating first-round NCAA loss to Hawaii after getting back to the tournament for the first time since 2013. Rabb averaged 12.5 points and 8.6 rebounds during his freshman season and will be joined by G Jabari Bird as another key returning starter on a new-look team in coach Cuonzo Martin's third season. ... Cal went a school-record unbeaten at home (18-0) in Haas Pavilion and is riding a 19-game home winning streak. A Dec. 21 date with powerhouse Virginia looms large. The Bears also face San Diego State on Nov. 21 at new Golden 1 Center in Sacramento that will host the NCAA Tournament in March.
