Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Bruins on Friday issued updates on the conditions of forwards Milan Lucic and Chris Kelly, both of whom underwent recent surgeries.
"Milan underwent successful surgery to repair his left wrist. Chris also underwent successful surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back. Both players are expected to be ready for the start of Training Camp," said Boston GM Peter Chiarelli.
Lucic totaled 59 points (24G, 35A) in 80 regular-season contests, adding four goals and three helpers over 12 postseason appearances.
Kelly recorded nine goals and 18 points in 57 regular-season tilts, but did not see the ice in the playoffs due to his back issues.
