Blackburn, England – Blackburn confirmed Thursday that coach Steve Kean has agreed to a new contract, although it just replaces his former deal and still runs through 2013.
The "revision," according to Blackburn, was finalized after an agreement made in the summer was formally agreed upon.
"Following recent media speculation Blackburn Rovers FC can confirm a revision to manager Steve Kean's existing contract has been completed," the club posted on its website.
"An agreement made in the summer has now been formalized. Contrary to some reports there is no change to the length of the contract. The club respects that all contracts are private and confidential and no further comment will be made."
Blackburn is last in the Premier League with just six points from 12 games and visits Stoke City on Monday.
