Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings was arrested Wednesday by the Gwinnett County police in Georgia on charges of speeding, reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
"We are aware of the reports regarding Tim Jennings' arrest. We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the situation," the Bears said in a statement.
According to Gwinnett County Detention Center records, Jennings was released at 3:41 p.m. ET and the three charges held a bond total of $2,711.
The 31-year-old Jennings, who played collegiately at Georgia, had a disappointing 2014 season in which he went without an interception. He registered 50 tackles in 16 starts with seven pass breakups and one forced fumble.
