Donald Trump made his pitch to evangelicals in Iowa Saturday, comparing the treatment of Christians to Muslims at a rally in Sioux Center.
"Christianity is under tremendous siege," Trump said, later calling Christians "the strongest lobby ever."
The Republican front-runner recalled the public backlash to his suggestion late last year that the U.S. ban Muslims from entering the country on a temporary basis.
"If I said that about Christians, I would have less backup than by saying it about Muslims," he said.
