Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., is firing back at former President Obama after he indicated attacks on her opponent were "crazy" in reference to his support for Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

"Hi @BarackObama!" Loeffler tweeted Wednesday. "You know what’s actually crazy? Saying America got what it deserved on 9/11, that America created HIV, and 'God D*** America.' You know what’s even crazier? You & @ReverendWarnock celebrating it."

Loeffler was referring to a controversial sermon that emerged during Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. Amid the controversy, Raphael Warnock, Loeffler's Democratic opponent, celebrated Wright in an interview with Fox News.

OBAMA DEFENDS REV. WRIGHT AS 'SUPREMELY GIFTED PREACHER,' HITS LOEFFLER'S 'CRAZY' ATTACKS ON WARNOCK

“We celebrate Rev. Wright in the same way that we celebrate the truth-telling tradition of the Black church, which when preachers tell the truth, very often it makes people uncomfortable," he said.

“And I think the country has been done a disservice by this constant playing over and over again of the same soundbites outside of context."

Obama similarly praised Wright in a recent interview with "The Breakfast Club," saying he was a "supremely gifted preacher."

Wright previously blamed "them Jews" for a lack of communication with Obama. But on Wednesday, the former president said that he "was very close to a lot of people in [Wright's] congregation as well as Rev. Wright."

Obama also suggested that Wright's words were taken out of context, saying "he wasn't promoting the notion that God was damning America."

"He was making a point that if you looked at slavery and discrimination you could see the conclusion of people feeling that there was not an alignment with Christian values and America. But if you see a two-minute sound bite, trying to explain that is too complicated," Obama said.

"Breakfast Club" co-host Angela Yee also asked Obama whether Warnock should denounce Wright. "It is a losing game at this stage to just go chasing crazy commentary," he said, apparently referencing Loeffler's attacks.

Earlier this month, Warnock seemed to avoid declaring that Wright was an anti-semite. When MSNBC host Willie Geist asked about that, Warnock responded: "I'm not an anti-Semite. I've never defended anti-Semitic comments from anyone and Kelly Loeffler knows better."
