On Sunday's #Mediabuzz 11 ET:

Clay Travis said that “the desperation of the Kamala Harris campaign” is reflected in the vice president echoing Donald Trump’s second chief-of-staff, John Kelly, in drawing ties between Trump and Hitler, and that nothing in the U.S. today is “remotely similar to Nazi Germany.” He also said that Kamala Harris gave cautious answers during her two interviews this week on MSNBC and NBC because “she actually makes news for having the same diametrically opposed positions.”

Meghan Hays said that while the Hitler charges against Trump are old news, she doesn’t “think it becomes noise with people who are undecided” on who they will vote for in the presidential election. She also said that Kamala Harris “does walk a tough line” because “the media have complained endlessly that she wasn’t doing interviews,” yet “they’re not covering them” now that she finally is doing them.

Caroline Downey said that an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast “humanized” Donald Trump, while Kamala Harris on TV “comes off more bitter, more angry, and more jaded.” She also said that CNN’s panelists ripping Kamala Harris for her performance on the network’s own town hall is “not a great sign,” and despite celebrities like Beyonce and Bruce Springsteen rallying for the vice president, “celebrity factor does not compensate for real charisma … which Kamala Harris lacks.”

Philippe Reines said of Donald Trump’s off-script comments about Arnold Palmer’s genitalia and discussion of aliens and whales with Joe Rogan, he is “a self-described TV expert. He knows that … something is going to stand out and be on TV.” He also said that Donald Trump working a day at McDonald’s “stands out because it’s really the only time he’s done that in nine years.”

Molly Line said that the role played by Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos and L.A. Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong in blocking their respective editorial boards’ endorsements of Kamala Harris “speaks to questions as to whether or not the owners of these big papers are in any way influenced by their own personal business interests.” She also said that the backlash CBS has received over edits resulting in two different Kamala Harris answers to the same interview question “comes down to an issue of trust … can the voters trust CBS on this issue? They could release the transcript and answer that question.”
