Like an old woman who dyes her hair so white that it turns blue, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is also suffering an unintentional side effect from his recent dye-job.
Lochte, who arrived for the Rio Games with a head of freshly-dyed gray hair, is slowly going greener and greener as the chlorine from the Olympic swimming pools reacts to his dye. Granted, it's not nearly as green as Katy Perry's slime-green hair from a few years back, or even from "Suicide Squad," but it's evident from his team's Instagram photos that he's getting greener as the days progress:
Lochte, for his part, doesn't seem too phased about his pastel hair — and it certainly hasn't slowed him down. Along with teammates Conor Dwyer, Townley Haas and Michael Phelps, Lochte recently earned the USA a gold medal in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay, and he's hoping for another in the 200-meter individual medley on Thursday night.
Take a closer look at Lochte's head below, then watch his next race to see him turn several shades greener before your very eyes.
