Fox411 Breaktime: Ivanka Trump has seen a boost in sales despite calls for boycotts
The First Daughter has reportedly hired Cat Williams — a former Vogue Australia staff member — as her stylist.
It is not known how long Williams has been working with Ivanka, who has an unofficial advisory role in her father President Donald Trump’s White House.
Williams previously worked as a fashion associate at Vogue, where she “looked after the fashion cupboard, assisted the fashion team and worked as a stylist on fashion shoots," vogue.com.au reports.
Williams left Vogue in 2014 and moved to New York, where she worked for celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger, whose clients included Ivanka (Erlanger styled her for the Met Ball last May), as well as Oscar winners Lupita Nyong’o and Meryl Streep, The Hollywood Reporter said.
She was educated at The University of Sydney and worked at Harper’s Bazaar before moving to Vogue Australia.
At Vogue, Williams worked under fashion director Christine Centenera, who styles Kim Kardashian and works with Kanye West on his Yeezy line.
While Ivanka’s personal style has been praised, her self-titled fashion line has been the source of much scandal for brand Trump.

Ivanka still owns the business via a trust but no longer has any input in day-to-day operations, and rarely wears her own label.
One of Ivanka’s most recent controversial looks included a $4000 Rouland Mouret dress she wore to Trump’s State of the Union address.
The First Daughter was criticized for contradicting the “buy American” message by manufacturing her label’s clothes offshore (in China and Bangladesh), and regularly wearing foreign designers including Oscar de la Renta and Altuzarra during official engagements.
She was slammed after she sported a $10,800 gold bracelet from her fine jewelry brand, Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, during a "60 Minutes" interview, followed by her brand promoting the accessory in a press release.
