The other shoe dropped, but it fell strategically in place. I was living my fear of fears— sitting with the doctor the day after my CT scan to hear the results. It was torture. I was worried, as you know, because of my rising tumor markers. However, everything is stable. Now I can try to forget for the next two months that I have incurable cancer.
On Friday I will be in New York City attending Charity Day at Cantor Fitzgerald. It’s a wonderful annual event held every year on 9/11, on which BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald donates 100 percent of its global revenue to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and to dozens of charities around the world, including the Noreen Fraser Foundation (NFF).
This will be NFF’s fifth year participating in Charity Day, which is observed by the Cantor Fitzgerald offices in New York, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and commemorates the employees of Cantor Fitzgerald who perished in the World Trade Center attacks. Since its inception, Charity Day has raised about $113 million globally. It truly is an event that turns a tragic day into one that is positive and uplifting through helping others.
This year, Fox News' Kimberly Guilfoyle will be joining us to raise significant funds by working the phones on the trading floor. I am so appreciative of her time.
