The emotional video of a colorblind man seeing the sunset in color for the first time with the help of special glasses has gone viral.

Aaron Williams-Mele uploaded the video to his YouTube page and said his parents gave him a pair of Enchroma Color for the Colorblind glasses for his birthday. A friend filmed him trying them on for the first time at Whitehurst Beach in Norfolk, Virginia.

Williams-Mele is immediately moved to tears as he takes in the colors of the sunset for the first time.

“This is a lot different than what I always thought it was going to be like,” he said in the video.

He then can be seen taking in the colors of his surroundings like the grass, flowers and trees.

“Needless to say, it was a pretty emotional experience,” he wrote of seeing color for the first time.

According to Enchroma.com, the lenses use a special mathematical formula to boost color vision.
