When a loved one is going through a health crisis, many often ask what they can do to help either the patient, or the caregiver. Now there’s a new app that enables caregivers to ask their support network directly for help with specific tasks, and for volunteers to pick which one to help with.
The app, “Stand With,” allows users to ask for assistance with anything from grocery shopping, laundry or setting up transportation for appointments.
Once downloaded, the network of supporters can then respond to the requests and let the caregiver know what tasks they can help with, eliminating double responses.
The app also allows users to create groups of supporter within their network, which enables the caregiver to tailor requests to certain friends, family or coworkers looking to help.
