Why Drew Barrymore Won't Let Her Daughter Pose for Playboy

When Drew Barrymore's 1-year-old daughter Olive eventually comes of age, she'll no doubt look for some way to rebel against her parents. And thanks to Drew's latest comments on "Nightline," she won't have to look too hard.

In a recent inteview with ABC's Amy Robach, the 38-year old actress discussed her rise to success, her current duties as a mom, and of course, her turbulent teen years, which culminated in a Playboy spread at age 19. "I have no regrets in my life whatsoever — I'm psyched about it all," said Barrymore, who's currently expecting her second daughter with husband Will Kopelman. "I'm just in such a different mind-frame. I'm in mom-mode now."

But despite having no regrets, Barrymore wouldn't exacly wish the same life choices on her daughters. When asked by Robach what she'd do if Olive were to consider posing for Playboy when she turns 18, Barrymore replied, "I would not let her … I would influence her not to. Because my life choices are not supposed to be the gateway to somebody else's. That's my journey."

Drew also clarified what type of parent she aims to be. "The best kind of parent you can be is to lead by example," she told Robach. "And whatever I've experienced in my life is a part of my story — and i'm proud of that — but it's someone who wakes up early, works all day, believes in charitable work."

Barrymore's "Nightline" endeavor comes on the heels of her photography book called "Find It in Everything," which contains 20 years' worth of photos of heart-shaped objects she stumbled upon in her everyday life.
