A funeral is to be held for Whitney Houston in her hometown of Newark, N.J., later this week, WNBC-TV reported Monday.
The pop superstar was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel room over the weekend and her body is to be flown across the country as early as Monday night, sources told WNBC.
The funeral arrangements reportedly will be handled by Whigham Funeral Home -- not far from the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, where a memorial service for Houston was held Sunday.
The singer started there as a choir girl before becoming a pop diva.
The funeral home told NewsCore it would not confirm, nor deny, the report.
