The first lady might still be mad at him but at least T.I. has put some of his legal woes behind him.
Prosecutors have dropped an assault charge against the rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, stemming from an altercation with a security guard at his gated community outside Atlanta in the spring, reports TMZ.
In May, the 38-year-old was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following a late-night altercation with security guard Euwan James at the gated community where the rapper lives. James, who claimed he felt “threatened,” was reportedly fired following the incident.
T.I. was charged in July. The next month, he pleaded not guilty to assaulting the security guard.
Though the assault charge was dropped, the rapper still faces three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and one of misdemeanor public drunkenness.
Reps for T.I. did not respond to a request for comment.
