Shakira on Motherhood: I Want Many More Babies!

Shakira is ready for her own Brady bunch.

The Colombian singer, who recently confirmed she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Gerard Piqué, says she definitely wants more than one child. She is currently five months pregnant.

In an interview with US Weekly magazine, a source close to Shakira and Piqué says their baby boy will have a sibling to play and grow up with.

“They definitely want more than one together," the source told the entertainment site. "Shakira is really looking forward to being a mother."

Shakira and her soccer-star-boyfriend Piqué, who is part of the Barca Spanish soccer team, met during the 2012 World Cup held in South Africa.

Romance rumors began swirling when Piqué, who was featured in Shakira’s “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” video, was spotted with the singer at her hotel room during the soccer event.

The unidentified source quoted by US Weekly also said that “it was love at first sight” when Shakira and Piqué met and that “she knew it was real” from the start.

It didn’t take long for Shakira and her then boyfriend of 11 years, Antonio De la Rúa, to call it quits after that.

"This guy [Piqué] is the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life," US Weekly quotes Shakira saying. "And now we're having a baby."

Over the weekend, Shakira posted a photo on her Facebook page holding her now very visible baby bump.

“Now I don't have a six pack, only one pack!” the star wrote.

As Fox News Latino previously reported, Shakira announced on her website earlier in September that she was in fact pregnant with Piqué’s baby.

The announcement confirmed pregnancy rumors that have been swirling about the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer for months.

“As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!” Shakira posted on her website.

“At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.”

Shakira’s baby bump news comes just one month after entertainment gossip site TV Notas published photos of her and Piqué allegedly entering the maternity section of a clinic in Miami.

The photos show the Colombian singer and her soccer star boyfriend walking into the clinic as Shakira has her hands covering her face.
