Salma Hayek Plays Deported Stripper in French Film 'Americano'

You will certainly need a fan to cool off after seeing Salma Hayek’s new film, “Americano.”

Hayek, 45, shows off her slim and smoldering body as the sensuous stripper Lola with a dark past.

In the French film written and directed by Mathieu Demy, who also plays the lead role of Martin, Hayek is deported to Mexico. When Martin learns that his late mother left something for Lola in her will, he goes to Tijuana to search for her, but things take a turn for the worst once he arrives in Mexico.

Entertainment gossip sites such as The Daily Mail UK and Enelbrasero.com are reporting that the movie was released last year in France and was also screened at the BFI London Film Festival last fall.

This isn’t the first time that Hayek stars as a sexy vixen. Who can ever forget those curves back in 1996 when she played the Vampire Princess in “From Dusk Till Dawn?”

But Hayek revealed last year she wasn’t always the stunner she is today.

In an interview on BBC’s “The Graham Norton Show,” Hayek said she wasn’t always as vivacious and self-confident as she is today, The Daily Mail UK reports.

The “Puss in Boots” star says she was so desperate to be more appealing that she even asked Jesus Christ for his help.

“I went to a church that had a saint that was supposed to do a lot of miracles,” Hayek said. “I put my hands in the holy water and went: 'Please Jesus, give me some boobs.'"

Hayek got what she wanted -- and a little more.

The buxom beauty will soon be starring as the iconic La Doña María Félix in a biopic film, which will be produced by Oliver Stone. She is also starring with Demian Bichir in “Savages,” coming out later this year, and is in production filming “Grown Ups 2.”
