Ricky Martin has been gracing some of the biggest stages around the world since he was a teen.

Like any rock star, fans have been known to share their love and admiration for the Latino superstar by throwing all sorts of clothing and objects onstage.

Bras, shirts, phone numbers are normal. But at one concert, Martin may have gotten the most disgusting gift of all.

“(A) tampon,” the Puerto Rican revealed to host Andy Cohen and singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles on the online show “Watch What Happens Live.”

“You asked me – most disgusting,” Martin said. “It wasn’t (thrown at me), but to the stage.”

The 42-year-old singer also spoke about the first time he heard his first solo single on the radio. Martin said he was in Mexico City and he started to cry.

“I was by myself though,” he said.

The Boricua singer also told Cohen that he returns to his native Puerto Rico at least four to five times a year.

“I go back to Puerto Rico all the time,” he said. “I need to go back to Puerto Rico for me, for my family. I live in the water so I need the beach, I’m an islander.”

When asked about his love life, Martin played coy, not revealing whether he was single or not.

“I am in a really good place right now,” he said. “I am where I need to be right now. I did not say yes or no.”

The “Livin' La Vida Loca” singer, who came out as gay on his personal website in May 2010, also recently said that he wished he could come out again.

“It felt amazing,” Martin told Australian radio station KIIS FM. “... that moment felt very blissful. It really feels amazing and then when it happens, you realize all your fears were in your head.”
