EXCLUSIVE: One royal expert believes Prince William and Prince Harry will reconcile their differences for the sake of their late mother Princess Diana.
A statue of the Princess of Wales, commissioned by the brothers in 2017 will be installed on what would have been her 60th birthday, BBC News previously reported. It will be unveiled on July 1st and the princes are scheduled to reunite at Kensington Palace for the occasion.
According to the outlet, the princes said they hoped the permanent sculpture would help all those who visit Kensington Palace to "reflect on her life and her legacy."
"Our mother touched so many lives," the pair added.

Diana passed away in 1997 at age 36 from injuries she sustained in a Paris car crash. William was 15 and Harry was 12 at the time.
"The greatest hope of reconciliation lies in the memory of their mother," royal author Anna Pasternak told Fox News. "That is what will unite them still today. I believe they will put their differences aside for her. And I believe there is a possibility of us witnessing that at the unveiling."
On March 7, CBS aired a two-hour interview that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle did with Oprah Winfrey. During the televised sit-down, the Duke of Sussex, 36, revealed that his relationships with his father Prince Charles, 72, and older brother William, 38, have ruptured.
Markle, 39, described feeling so isolated and miserable inside the royal family that she had suicidal thoughts. The Duchess of Sussex also alleged that a member of the royal family had "concerns" about the color of her unborn child’s skin.

The family member was not Queen Elizabeth II, 94, or Prince Philip, 99, according to Harry, sparking a flurry of speculation about who it could be.
Harry also told the media mogul, 67, the royal family cut him off financially at the start of 2020 after announcing plans to step back from his roles. But he was able to afford security for his family because of the money Diana left behind.
After the interview aired, Charles was questioned by a reporter about the interview during a visit to a vaccine clinic in London but remained silent. When William was approached during a visit to an East London School, he declared, "We’re very much not a racist family."
Pasternak has previously written about the other American divorcee who married a royal for a book titled "The Real Wallis Simpson." The British writer tracked down Simpson’s last remaining circle of intimate friends who wanted to set the record straight about her controversial life.

She said there’s no doubt Harry’s relationship with William will require time and patience before it can ever be healed.
"Given what’s been put out there in the public arena, the brothers and the family look quite fragile at the moment," she said. "But it’s clear they desperately need healing as they prepare to stand shoulder to shoulder in honor of their mother. And I think the grudges and the hurts seem to be building up on both sides and widening the rift between the brothers, as opposed to lessening it."
During the interview with Winfrey, Harry said he will "always be there" for his brother despite their differences.
"I love William to bits," Harry said. "He's my brother. We've been through hell together. But we are on different paths."

When asked by Winfrey how he would describe the relationship now, Harry said, "space," adding, "Time heals all things, hopefully."
In response to a question from Winfrey, Harry said he wouldn’t have left royal life if he hadn’t married Meghan, but that it was their relationship that revealed the strictures of royal life.
"I wouldn’t have been able to, because I myself was trapped," Harry said. "I didn’t see a way out.
"I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped," Harry said, before adding, "My father and my brother, they are trapped."

After Harry and Markle married in May 2018 at Windsor Castle, the royal family seemed to welcome the Duchess of Sussex, a glamorous former TV star. The pair were seen as providing a fresh young face for the monarchy of an increasingly multicultural nation.
It didn’t take long for the fairy tale to unravel.
The couple stepped away from royal duties last year and eventually settled in California, saying they wanted to escape racist coverage and unwanted intrusions on their privacy by the British media.
During the interview, the duke and duchess shared they are expecting a girl due this summer.
