Phelps vs. Lochte: Which Team Are You On?

Two of America’s greatest swimmers, Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps, have been giving each other some tough competition at the London Olympics.

The rivalry between these teammates has made for some great Olympic moments, especially when you consider that they look forward to their matchups as much as we do. "We love racing against each other," Phelps has said. "Neither one of us likes to lose. I like to say we bring the best out of each other."

Unfortunately for us, Lochte and Phelps only “bring out the best in each other” in two events at the London Olympics: the 400-meter individual medley and the 200-meter individual medley. They’re not in direct competition in any of their other races.
