“New Girl” star Hannah Simone, now the host of Fox’s latest reality show “Kicking and Screaming,” admits she can’t “rough it."
The British-Canadian actress, who starred in six seasons of Fox’s hit sitcom, "The New Girl," with a seventh in the works, told Fox she loves “watching survival competition shows set in exotic and incredible locations,” but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, she’s as squeamish as any of the contestants.
The new show is in the jungles of Fiji. Simone says the show pairs 10 hard-core survivalists – war lords, former military, naturalists, and people who live “off the grid,” with 10 novices who “you could not pay to go ‘glamping.’ One tiny bug and they’re going to move out of the city,” she says.

A virtual unknown when she moved to Los Angeles eight or nine years ago. Simone told The Wrap she got a taste of fame while leaving a Hollywood restaurant, when a group of photographers started chasing her, believing she was Kim Kardashian.
“I had my bangs and a high ponytail and Kim had just gotten bangs… I wasn’t on a show — nothing. And then all of sudden this herd of paparazzi was chasing me down a street screaming, ‘Kim!’ I didn’t know what was happening, I didn’t know who Kim was,” she said.
“It wasn’t until a friend down the road yelled at me, ‘They think you’re Kim Kardashian!’ I was like — what the heck?”
