Miranda Lambert is now a proud owner of seven dogs. The singer shared a photo of her two new fur babies, two Pyrenees she’s named Thelma and Louise.
The dogs’ names were chosen to recognize the 25th anniversary of the Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon movie "Thelma & Louise." In the photo, Lambert shares that the dogs will watch over her mini horses.
“Thanks to the @muttnationfoundation team they are safe and sound at their new forever home!!! I’m in love.” Like Lambert, these beauties hail from Texas.
A hashtag reveals Lambert’s current dog count. Over the years she’s adopted many dogs from her MuttNation Foundation or strays that she’s found or that have come wandering up to her front door. The singer maintains several charitable and business interests outside of country music, including a boutique called the Pink Pistol and a bed and breakfast.
Musically, Lambert is reportedly close to sharing what she’s been working on with fans. She’s spent much of the last year writing and has said the ups and downs of her life have led to several great song ideas. Her most recent album was "Platinum," released in 2014. It featured the Top 5 hit “Automatic” as well as “Somethin’ Bad,” a duet with Carrie Underwood.
Lambert did not share where her new dogs would live, other than to say they’d keep watch over her mini-horses. Recently, she bought a 400-acre farm in Tennessee. She’ll begin the Keeper of the "Flame Tour" with Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore later this month and has a few shows on Kenny Chesney‘s "Spread the Love Tour" scheduled for 2016.
