This may just be Leonardo DiCaprio’s dream role.
The Oscar-nominated actor is reportedly set to star as Billy Milligan in upcoming film "The Crowded Room," a real life drama about a man with 24 different personalities who became the first person to successfully use multiple personality disorder as a defense in court.
Milligan pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to two rapes and a robbery in Ohio in the 1970s.
The movie will be based on Daniel Keyes’ 1981 book "The Minds of Billy Milligan" and will be produced by DiCaprio’s own Appian Way.
The "Wolf of Wall Street" star has apparently been trying to get the project off the ground for nearly two decades.
DiCaprio has also got the lead role in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s "The Revenant," due out later this year.
"The Crowded Room" sounds like a potential awards contender. Could this be the role that finally lands DiCaprio an Oscar?
