Keke Palmer was only 9 when the first "Ice Age" movie came out. Now, at 22, the young actress is thrilled to voice a character for the latest installment of the animated franchise "Ice Age: Collision Course."

One reason why Palmer thinks the "Ice Age" movies are still loved? "Diversity," she told FOX411.

"I think people, even if they do acknowledge it or maybe they don't, when you watch 'Ice Age,' the big message is that family comes in all different shapes and sizes," Palmer said. "They don't have to look exactly like you because love is love.”
