The Grateful Dead will keep on truckin' with Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio.
The four living original members of the legendary jam band will play three 50th anniversary shows with Anastasio at Soldier Field in Chicago on July 3-5, Billboard reports. Its the same venue they last played with Jerry Garcia on July 9, 1995.
Their lead singer/guitarist died in August that year.
Bob Weir, 67, Phil Lesh, 74, Mickey Hart, 71, and Bill Kreutzmann, 68, are all signed up for the last hurrah.
"These will be the last shows with the four of us together," Weir said.
The Grateful Dead formed in 1965 in California and became the leaders of the San Francsico psychedelic music scene. They toured constantly until Garcia's death, spawning a legion of Deadheads who followed them from show to show, year after year.
