Jon Gosselin has a new career.

The 39-year-old who found fame as the father of eight on TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” is the new cook at T.G.I. Friday’s in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

“He works here because he likes to cook,” Scott Trompeter, the restaurant’s general manager and friend of Gosselin, told Page Six Wednesday. “He cooks during the day for me and sometimes here and there. He’s done a great job the last couple of months. He’s part of my Friday’s family.”

Gosselin, who divorced ex-wife Kate Gosselin in 2009, works 7 to 8 hours day, three days a week at the restaurant simply because he loves to cook, Trompeter added.

“He does a great a job but I know one thing for certain, he does donate his check every week,” Trompeter said, although he couldn’t name which organizations are receiving Gosselin’s wages.

While cooking is Gosselin’s focus a few days a week, he’s not neglecting his deejaying career: he occasionally plays a set at Friday’s.

As for his life outside the restaurant, Gosselin’s still a family man.

“I know for a fact that he really cares about his kids. I know he enjoys the time he gets with them,” Trompeter said.
