New “Bachelor” Colton Underwood has received former contestant Corinne Olympios‘ stamp of approval.
“I’m glad he’s ‘The Bachelor,’ and I hope he finds love soon, cause they’re really exhausting this storyline,” the 26-year-old told Page Six Tuesday.
Underwood, 26, who was named the 23rd “Bachelor” in franchise history on Tuesday, created headlines this summer while vying for Becca Kufrin’s heart on “The Bachelorette,” by addressing his virginity on camera.
“I think that in regards to my virginity, it’s just a small portion of who I am. I don’t want to be defined by that,” the former NFL star told Page Six in August. “I understand it did blow up, but it’s 2018. It’s my body, my choice that should be normal.”
As Underwood’s season on “The Bachelor” progresses, he’ll have the opportunity to get to know potential soul mates further inside the romantic Fantasy Suites, which are typically reserved for more intimate moments. Olympios, who finished fourth on Nick Viall’s season of “The Bachelor” in 2017, offered choice well wishes to the series’ new star.
“Good luck in the fantasy suites … not like he’d know good from bad anyway,” Olympios said.
Underwood’s season of “The Bachelor” will premiere early next year.
